Service Description: Provides and advocates for a full range of community-based services for people with intellectual disabilities including accommodation, employment, respite, community access, planning and family supports

Supported Independent Living:
  • provides assistance with medications administration, personal hygiene, banking, doctor appointments, cooking and meal supervision, grocery and personal shopping, social skills and transportation
  • promotes independence, quality of life, health and safety

Residential Services
  • offers accommodations at 2 homes located throughout the district with supports provided by trained staff
  • equipped to cater to individuals needs, including medical and/or behavioral needs
  • supports may include personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, recreation and leisure activities
  • respite bed services

Community Participation Support Program 
  • offers a variety of recreational and leisure activities such as bowling, trips to local shops, mall and lakes, picnics, movies, hay and sleigh rides, computer games, crafts, artwork, bingo, music therapy, cooking and group activities
  • life skills training
  • encourages daily light exercises and dancing
  • enables some individuals to gain work experience from local businesses

Adult Respite Services
  • provides temporary relief for family member / guardians caring for individuals with developmental disabilities

Host Family Program
  • providers identified provide support in their homes to individuals with developmental disabilities
Passport Program
  • individualized supports provided to individuals in receipt of Passport funding
  • Application: Applications must be made be made through Development Services Ontario (DSO)
