Service Description: Assessments, interventions and support to students and families with mental health and or addiction issues * consultation to school staff in regards to mental health and/or addiction issues as appropriate

Students considered for this program are affiliated with publicly-funded elementary and secondary schools

Application: Ontario Health at Home or school referral required
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Students enrolled in an elementary or secondary school of either the Catholic or Public system who are facing mental health challenges, or who have an addiction, including students transitioning back to school from hospital/institution

Mental Health and Addiction Nurses (MHANs) work in schools to help ensure that children with mental health issues get the help they need, as quickly and effectively as possible. Support our young patients with mental health and addictions to help them stay at school, and succeed.
