Service Description: Labour, Delivery and Postpartum Care

Postpartum care empowers the family to become independent in caring for the new baby and prepares the family for discharge

A baby born prematurely or needing specialized care is transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where a pediatrician or neonatologist, registered nurse and others, provide care for the baby

Online prenatal and postnatal classes

a series of prenatal classes to support expectant parents and their support person. All prenatal classes will be offered in a virtual format, at no cost to registrants and provide parents and families an opportunity to learn and prepare for birth and the care of their newborn. All classes are live and interactive and facilitated by registered nurses experienced in maternal and newborn care
