Service Description:	Nursing station providing basic medical and health care services that promote physical and mental health for community members Coordinates health care services through the Nursing Station; health team consists of Community Health representatives, visiting Physicians and Home Care workers Provides services of visiting physicians several days per week through a contract agreement with Independent First Nations Alliance (IFNA) and Anton Meyers Doctors (AMDOCS) Provides dentist and dental hygienist services once per month through a visiting dentist Provides vision care services through a visiting optometrist Provides health awareness and counselling, education and prevention workshops/clinics in areas that may include Child Care, Diabetes, Elderly & Chronic Disease, Immunization, Sexual Health and Communicable Diseases Addresses individual health care needs by providing: Treatment of on-going health problems Emergency services Advocacy on behalf of individual with other health professionals Coordination of one-on-one pre-natal care with the community health nurse Home visits to the sick, elderly, new mothers and persons with health care needs Assistance with coordinating local and long distance travel arrangements for medical appointments Provides telemedicine services at the Kejick Bay Clinic via Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) Services and Programs: Healthy Babies Healthy Children Home and Community Care Medical Transportation Program National Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program
