Facilitates the employment for new immigrants to Canada by familiarizing them with effective job-search practices and technique Employment services include:
Employment Counselling and Job Search Workshops: one-on-one counselling, resume/cover letter critique, interview coaching and help with connecting to employers. Workshops hosted that are open to all newcomers to help them learn proven techniques required to gain employment, based on experience and education Job Fairs: a number of job fairs held throughout the year where job seekers can directly connect with employers from various industries (banking, IT, labour, healthcare etc.). Newcomers are provided opportunities to showcase their skills, education and experience while networking Networking: industry specific networking sessions are an opportunity to meet one-on-one with professionals from IT, banking and finance, healthcare, teaching and many more, to ask questions and get advice about working in Canada |
