Service Description:	Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following: Provides the Begetekong Community Centre for various activities and events Offers a Canada Post postal station Offers a local Internet and cable television network Publishes a monthly community newsletter, The Pic River Current Renown for developing "run of the river" hydroelectric projects in Northern Ontario; partners in 3 generating stations Operates a Band-owned forestry company Provides Biidaaban Healing Lodge for addictions treatment Administers a Children and Family Learning Centre Offers a Community Hall for various community events Offers an Education Department which administers Pic River Elementary School and Pic River High School Operates a Volunteer Fire Department Offers health care and health programs through Pic River Health Centre Provides a Public Library Services and Programs: Housing Department Ontario Works Operations and Maintenance Biidaaban Healing Lodge Biigtigong Mno-zhi-yaagamig Health Centre - Health Centre Pic River Elementary School - Library Services Volunteer Fire Department
