Service Description: Offers a family treatment program designed to support families in overcoming addictions and trauma in their lives
  • Operates as a 14-day residential family program at the Pashkokogan Lodge which is located on traditional territory and only accessible by boat in the summer
  • Begins with family assessment to determine issues and to identify which areas need to be addressed
  • Promotes regaining a strong spiritual connection to the land and encourages sharing as part of the healing process
  • Includes various group activities such as cleaning, cooking, and traditional activities like setting fish nets and moose hunts

Services and activities can include:
  • Alcohol and drug education
  • Individual and group counselling
  • Sharing circles
  • Teaching of life skills and personal development
  • Individual and family treatment planning
  • Recreation and work therapy
  • Traditional, spiritual and cultural healing
  • Follow-up and aftercare plan including referrals to community services for ongoing support and care
