Accessibility Notes: Fully Accessible - front entrance is off Miles St and includes a set of stairs and wheelchair ramp; front entrance door is locked to the public - use separate doorbell located on right-hand side of building; doorbell is attached to the door frame above the door fob on the left side of the intercom with the label "ILRC", and "ILRC" is written in Braille above the doorbell. After using the doorbell, it will shine a blue light, and an ILRC Thunder Bay staff member will greet you and welcome you into the building.

Service Description:
Drop-In activities take place in the Community Resource Hub and are designed to help build peer connections

Includes:
  • access to community resources, printer, computers, puzzles, colouring, fidget toys, snacks and more
  • weekly self-directed programming: craft club, board games, trivia and educational workshops

Note: the Community Resource Hub is wheelchair accessible, with an accessible bathroom available to participants. If accommodations are needed, let staff know. There is naloxone and a sharps disposal bin on-site, as well as first aid kits

Application: Pre-registration may be required for some events; drop-in is open participation - check Instagram or Facebook for monthly calendar
Eligibility - Population(s) Served:
  • Individuals aged 16 years of age or older, with any self-disclosed disability

  • A support person must accompany participants requiring any kind of routine assistance
