Service Description: Provides a variety of residential supports for people based on their individual needs * encourage lifestyles that promote independence, participation, inclusion, friendships and citizenship in the community

24-hour Support Group Living:
  • each home provides support for up to 5 people residing in a group living setting
  • support is person-directed and designed to meet each person goals, wishes, needs and dreams
  • promote personal decision making, meaningful community involvement and assist people to develop and maintain independence in their everyday lives

Supported Living and Supported Independent Living:
  • designed to offer varying amounts of support to people where they live
  • support is also offered while they are in their family home and in the process of moving to their own home

Supports could include:
  • money handling and budgeting
  • menu planning and assistance with preparation of meals
  • shopping
  • landlord and tenant negotiations
  • home maintenance
  • assistance with appointments and accessing other community resources to enhance their quality of life
Fees: None * For residential, i.e group homes, adults pay room and board on a monthly basis (fee determined by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services)

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Must be over 18 yrs and diagnosed with a developmental disability for all the residential services programs
