Service Description: Outpatient and inpatient services involving various tests to diagnose medical conditions
 
Cardiorespiratory Department Outpatient and inpatient service involving the examination of the heart and respiratory system
  • Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring -; Diagnostic testing of a persons blood pressure over a period of time, usually 24 hours
  • Ambulatory holter monitoring -  Diagnostic testing of the electrical activity of a persons heart over a period of time, usually 24, 48 hours or 14 days
  • Ambulatory loop monitoring - Diagnostic testing of the electrical activity of a persons heart over a period of time, usually 14 days
  • Cardiac stress testing -Diagnostic testing of a persons heart while undergoing stress in a controlled environment
  • Electrocardiography - Diagnostic testing of the electrical activity within a persons heart (ECG)
  • Pulmonary function testing -Tests for the functionality of a persons lungs
 
Diagnostic Imaging Department Outpatient and inpatient services for taking images of the body to diagnose medical conditions
  • CT scan - Examinations of various body parts using x-rays to create sectional images
  • Gastrics and barium studies - Upper gastroesophageal, barium swallow, small bowel follow through and barium enema procedures * Fri 8am to 11am
  • General radiology - X-rays of various body parts
  • Mammography - X-rays of breast tissue for screening and/or diagnostic purposes
  • Mammography services - Services for patients that do not qualify for the Ontario Breast Screening Program or need a follow-up from previous mammograms * Thu 8am-4pm
  • Ultrasound - Sound waves to create images for diagnostic purposes * Mon-Fri 7am-5pm and occasional evenings and weekends
 
Laboratory Inpatient testing of specimens from patients for diagnostic purposes
Fees: Most fees are covered by OHIP
